The St. Johnsville Fire Department Dive Rescue and Recovery Unit was established in May of 2000. It was started because a viable Dive Rescue Team for Montgomery County was not available due to budget restraints at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and the time involved with the New York State Police Dive Teams Response to this area. At the present time we service Montgomery County and Herkimer County and have offered our services to all of our surrounding Counties.
